Bantam Minors Weekend Report
The Clippers had only one game scheduled for this weekend
and saw the Western Mass Blades skate away with a hard fought 3-2 victory over the
Clippers.The hard hitting Blades jumped on top with a goal 6 minutes into the game. The Clippers came back with a goal from Nick Kruczek on assists from Ross Burton and Bruce Bedrick with three minutes left in the period.
The second period was fast paced and hard hitting with both teams having numerous chances. The Blades finally took advantage and scored the go ahead goal with 5 minutes left in the period to take a 2-1 lead going into the third period.
The Western Mass squad took a 3-1 lead with a goal at the 9 minute mark. The Clippers battled back to 3-2 on a goal from Jamison Etting on assists from Kurt Wehr and Mike Diglio with seven minutes left in the game.
The Clippers applied the pressure in the last few minutes of the game but even pulling the goalie wasn't enough as the Western Mass team checked out with a 3-2 victory.
