Komets add Adam Blanchette to Roster
The Fort Wayne Komets of the United Hockey League (UHL) announced Thursday that 6 players have been added to the pre-season roster. Winger Pascal Morency and defenseman A.J. Bozoian along with rookies Dan McWhinney (G), Jean-Simon Richard (C), Martin Gascon (C) and Adam Blanchette (D) have agreed to terms for 2006-07.Blanchette, an eight-year veteran of the Clippers, becomes another in the long list of Clipper players to advance beyond the junior hockey league. He completed 3 seasons of QMJHL play last year finishing with Gatineau scoring 2 assists and 42 penalty minutes in 26 games.
A native of Berlin, Connecticut, he was a top player for both Avon Old Farms school and the Clippers and was ranked in the top 10 players by the Québec national scouting service.
