Squirt Minor Weekend Report
This past weekend the Clippers' Squirt Minor team played two games, coming out with a split. On Saturday the Squirts Minors hosted the Northwestern Connecticut Squirts. The Clippers were relentless right from the start, scoring nine goals on forty shots taken. Players putting the puck in the net were: Alex Manner (4), Tyler Juliano (2), Zach Jolles (2), and Cameron Howe-Bernadel (1). All goals were made possible by assists from: Steven Plotkin (3), Tyler Juliano (3), Colin Nodden (2), Alex Manner (2), Cameron Howe-Bernadel (1), and Joseph Villano (1). Dynamic puck control by the line of Joey Genga, Duncan Tulimieri, Andrew Wilson, and excellent defensive efforts from Chris Adamsons, Peyton Lawler, James Matons, Garrett O'Brien, Chad St. Hilare, and Andrew Watson held the opposition to only 11 shots on net. All shots were stopped by goalie, Kyle Thibodeaux, for his first shut-out of the year.
On Sunday, the Squirts traveled to Avon Old Farms to play CHC opponent Avon Squirt A. Avon took a 4-0 lead in the middle of the second period, when the game was called due to a Clipper player injury that halted play.
Good job this weekend boys!!!!
