Squirt Major Weekend Report
On Saturday the Squirts Majors traveled to Dracut to face new NEEHL opponent, New England Bulldogs. Just two minutes into the game, Evan Sliker took a clearing pass from Kevin Landau, beat the defense and scored the Clippers’ first goal. Both teams played tight defensive hockey until the last three minutes of the period when each team scored two goals. Taggart Corriveau, fed by a Sliker pass, rifled a shot past the Bulldog goalie. After a Bulldog goal, Corriveau again scored. This time Nick Adamsons earned the assist. The first period ended with the Clippers ahead 3-2. The second period was a defensive struggle for both teams. The Bulldogs tied the game at 3-3 half way through the period. However, a minute later Corriveau answered with another goal, assisted by Sliker and Adamsons. The period closed with the Clippers maintaining their one goal lead.
